Design Solutions

User Journey

1. Home Screen
Upon opening Street Foodie, users are greeted with a clean and visually appealing home screen. It displays a map with icons representing nearby food trucks. Below the map, users can see a list of food trucks with basic information, including name, cuisine, and whether they are open or closed.

2. Filters
Users can filter food trucks by cuisine type, ensuring they can quickly locate their preferred dishes. This functionality caters to users like Sarah, who have specific cravings.

3. Real-time Location Updates
To maintain the accuracy of food truck locations, we implemented a system for truck owners to update their location in real-time. Users can trust that the information is up-to-date and accurate, enhancing their experience.

4. Reporting New Locations
In cases where a truck owner has not updated their location, users can report a truck in a new location. This feature empowers the community to contribute, further improving the app’s accuracy.

5. Detailed Truck Profiles
Users can access detailed profiles for each food truck, providing information about the menu, opening hours, contact details, and user reviews. This ensures users can make informed choices.

6. Notifications
Street Foodie sends notifications to users when a food truck they follow is nearby or has a special offer. These features add a layer of excitement and engagement.

User Testing

We conducted extensive user testing to fine-tune the app’s functionality and usability. User feedback helped us make adjustments to the design, navigation, and flow of the app.

Street Foodie is a user-centric mobile app that enhances the street food experience for food enthusiasts like Sarah. By addressing their specific needs, it provides an easy and enjoyable way to discover and indulge in the diverse culinary delights offered by food trucks in their city. The inclusion of real-time location updates and reporting features ensures the app remains accurate and reliable, making it an indispensable tool for street food lovers.
